News: The cd Nouzha (2010) contains two compositions (Regenslaap and Luz) by the young and talented composer Leonard Evers. Leonard graduated recently cum laude from Codarts school for the Arts Rotterdam. Windstreken will continue to collaborate with this exceptional composer in a new program that is inspired by the music of the middle ages.
In June 2003, I was asked to join organist Theo Visser in concert at the Hooglandse church in Leiden, the Netherlands. This caused me to frequently visit churches, which eventually resulted in recordings for a CD commissioned by the foundation ‘Het Orgelpark’ in the Nicolai church in Utrecht and 'the Orgelpark' in Amsterdam.
As the music we recorded was very diverse in style, we decided to release two different CDs. The first CD, entitled ‘Windstreken’ (Cardinal Points), has been released in May 2006. The Belgian jazz pianist/ organist Josef Dumoulin plays the Marcussen organ and the so called ‘positive’ organ. In a few of the pieces, tabla player Sandip Bhattacharya joins in. Several Dutch composers provided the compositions for these recordings. Without violating the instruments and the atmosphere of the church, we placed the organ in an unusual framework. Improvisation plays an important role on this CD.
The second CD entitled Offshore has been released in January 2008. It contains jazz and classical compositions of among others Jehan Alain, Rudolf Escher, Harald Genzmer, Frans Blanker and Huub de Vriend.
On this CD Sebastiaan van Delft, Theo Visser and Kris Goessens play the organ, fully exploiting all its registers and colours.
March 18, 2007 and September 19, 2010 we performed for the dutch television (VPRO Vrije Geluiden).

From 2009 we perform with our new tablaplayer Niti Ranjan Biswas, an exciting musician from Bangladesh.
In November 2009 the Trio Windstreken recorded music for a new CD (Nouzha) which has been released in June 2010. On this CD the trio is playing together with some renowned guest-musicians: Oene van Geel (viola), Kamal Hors (ud & voice) and Jörg Brinkmann (cello).
